Objective : This case report aims to show the effect of Huini-san on depressive disorder. the patient was diagnosed with Soeum-byung based on Shanghanlun provisions.

Methods : According to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions, the patient was

diagnosed with Soeum-byung and the patients are treated with Huini-san. We evaluated the results of treatment by Korean Version of the Remission from Depression Questionnaire.

Results : After taking Huini-san decoction for 2 month, the symptoms of patients improved

Conclusions : This case report shows that effectiveness of using Huini-san according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions on depressive disorder.
